How to Tell If Your Cabinet Boxes Are Actually Sound

Water staining or swelling at the base of cabinets near the sink or dishwasher, soft or spongy particleboard when pressed, and doors that no longer sit flush regardless of hinge adjustment are the main signs a cabinet box may not be a good refacing candidate. We check for all three during the free on-site estimate before recommending refacing over a full replacement.
